GONE IN 60 SECONDS: The basis for the 2000 film starring Nicolas Cage and Angelina Jolie, 1974's GONE IN 60 SECONDS is a revered cult classic, mostly because of the delirious 40 minute car chase that concludes the film. Directed by its star, writer, producer, and stunt driver H.B. Halicki, GONE IN 60 SECONDS was a drive-in phenomenon when it was originally released. In it, Maindrian Pace and a group of his colleagues race to steal 48 specific makes and models of cars in a week, which will net them $250,000 if they succeed. However, the group runs into trouble trying to jack a 1973 Mach 1 Mustang, and Pace ends up being chased through seven counties by throngs of police in what is probably the most exciting and ambitious car chase ever filmed.
THE JUNKMAN: As movie-mogul and millionaire junkman Harlan Hollis is completing work on his film GONE IN 60 SECONDS, one of his top executives is plotting with assassins to take his life. As Hollis' leaves his California studio full of of exotic cars and expensive toys, to travel to the James Dean festival, he is unaware of the plot against him. Later, he fights for his life on the open road against their constant barrage of aircraft, explosives, and automatic weapons. Director H.B. Halicki's semi-sequel to his cult hit GONE IN 60 seconds combines action, laughs, and an eye popping finale involving the Goodyear blimp!
